Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store operations leader in Michigan to collaborate with the Store Director and drive profitability, customer service, and team development in a dynamic, community-focused environment.

You will manage planograms, staffing, training, and performance while upholding Meijer’s standards and values. The role includes engagement with local communities and ongoing development opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of retail/grocery/operations management/customer service experience.
• 4+ years of progressive leadership experience.
• Passion for leading teams and delivering customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Director in running overall store operations as needed.
• Lead performance management for leaders and team members.
• Attract and retain a diverse, inclusive team aligned with Meijer culture.
• Communicate daily with team, share financials and feedback.
• Drive open communication per Meijer Care and Accountability.
• Maintain product freshness standards and follow processes.
• Oversee store operations in absence of the Store Director.
• Ensure food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Engage with communities to strengthen local partnerships.
