Job summary

Campus Auxiliary Services seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support a Market Leader or Campus Store Manager in overseeing store operations and driving sales growth. You will lead a team to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain brand and operational excellence.

You will mentor team members, monitor financial metrics, and assist with daily operations to ensure an engaging store experience. Follett values teamwork and inclusion, and expects availability to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent preferred.
• 0-5 years of retail or bookstore experience preferred; prior supervisory experience preferred.
• General Computer Skills

Responsibilities

• Supervises the work activities of sales team members FT/PT and Temporary.
• Schedules team members' work hours.
• Trains new team members FT/PT and seasonal staff.
• Ensures sales team comply with policies, procedures and standards.
• Maintains merchandising and promotion standards; creates displays.
• Onboards new hires.
• Greet customers, answer phones, provide information, direct callers and resolve issues; foster customer service culture.
• Receives, verifies and unloads orders; operates POS and store computer; balances cash drawer; prepares deposits.
• Stocks shelves and conducts inventory per schedule.
• May perform general store cleaning and organization.
• May cover for others during breaks or peak periods including registers and departments.
• Keyholder with opening/closing responsibilities.
• Performs end-of-month reporting and accounts receivable related tasks.
