Job summary

At Home Group Inc. in Erie, PA seeks an Assistant Store Manager – Operations to support the Store Manager in leading operational, financial, and team functions within a large-format store with annual sales typically ranging from $4–$10 million by supporting efficient store operations, maintaining strong execution standards, and delivering an exceptional experience for both Team Members and customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 3+ years of leadership experience in big-box/high-volume retail.
• Proven ability to lead 20+ Team Members and manage $5M+ revenue/budget.
• Strong knowledge of freight, inventory, stocking, and merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Drive store operations to meet sales, profit, and performance goals with a customer-focused shopping experience.
• Attract, hire, and develop talent; build internal bench strength and effective succession plans.
• Coach, train, and develop teams; encourage continuous improvement and internal career growth.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and payroll accuracy, using financial and operational metrics.
• Oversee opening/closing and front-end processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Direct freight, inventory, stocking, and merchandising to maintain in-stock, clean, and safe store.
• Lead customer satisfaction, shrink control, safety, loss prevention, and cash handling.
• Address Team Member and customer concerns with urgency, professionalism and integrity.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
• Lead team communication through regular huddles and meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
