Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an experienced store operations leader to drive day‑to‑day performance across food and general merchandise.

You will plan, direct, and supervise the team, oversee staffing, training, and performance management, and develop strategies to improve customer service and store profitability. You\'ll manage planograms, seasonal resets, endcaps, and merchandising, while engaging colleagues to deliver the best possible shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of retail/grocery/operations management.
• 4+ years of progressive leadership experience.
• Strong communication and people development skills.

Responsibilities

• Overall operations responsibility across food and general merchandise areas.
• Management across the store of planograms, seasonal resets, and endcaps.
• Engaging team members and leadership to provide the best possible shopping experience for our customers.
• Foster a culture driving team engagement and talent retention.
• Identifying, selecting, and developing talent within the store.
• Upholding cultural standards and values via communication.
• Assessing financial results and driving profitability.
• Developing strategies to improve customer service, store sales and profitability.
• Ensuring product displays are merchandised to maximize sales.
• Assist the Store Director in running overall store operations.
