Job summary

Roses Discount Store seeks an experienced Store Manager to operate the store at maximum sales and profit in line with company policies and procedures. A typical week ranges from 45 to 52 hours depending on location, with schedule submitted to the District Manager weekly.

Responsibilities include training and supervising staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, enforcing safety policies, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of related experience in store management
• Ability to effectively communicate in English
• Strong planning, coaching, analytical and communication skills
• Team-oriented work style

Responsibilities

• Maintain an outgoing and enthusiastic rapport with store customers, providing good service and all possible assistance.
• To successfully complete the Management Training Program.
• To employ and properly train a qualified Assistant Manager, with the advice and approval of the District Manager.
• Employment and training other store personnel with the assistance of Assistant manager and the advice and approval of District Manager.
• To obtain the advice of your District Manager on any personnel or operational problems or opportunities.
• Control of inventory shrinkage to within 2.5% of annual sales; disciplinary action for higher shrinkage.
• Maintain a Shrink Check Test score of 80 or above; actions for below 80.
• Enforcement of Company Safety Policies.
• Maintain good relations with area law enforcement and solicit their assistance in security matters.
• Complete/approve/supervise weekly schedule and operate the store within payroll budget with Assistant Manager.
• Assign duties and train all employees per company procedure.
• Inform all employees of policies and enforce them consistently.
• Transmit payroll information accurately per policy.
• Maintain well-balanced and in-stock inventory, including seasonal merchandise distribution.
• Maintain clean and organized stores, displays, offices and stock rooms.
