Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking an Assistant Store Manager of Operations to lead operational execution in a fast-paced retail environment. You will coach and develop teammates, optimize processes, and ensure the store runs at a high level across front and back-of-house operations.

You will partner with the Store Manager to hire, train, and manage Captain (Supervisor) staff, maintaining policy compliance and delivering exceptional athlete experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1–3 years retail management experience (or customer‑focused experience).
• Proven leadership and coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the Store Manager to develop and execute annual growth plans, forecasting and planning 90+ days out, and supports long-term success.
• Directly manages a team of Captains (Supervisors) and fosters a high-performing, inclusive environment with accountability for performance reviews and promotions.
• Upholds merchandising standards and ensures compliant execution of floor sets, pricing changes, and inventory presentation to elevate the athlete experience.
• Leads training initiatives, coaching, and development plans to ensure staff deliver elevated athlete experiences.
• Oversees staffing plans, payroll, and scheduling to align with budget goals and adapt to traffic and sales trends.
