Job summary

Dollar Tree in Ellerbe, NC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development.

You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, supervise associates, and ensure safe, clean, and well-organized sales floors. The role requires a high school diploma (preferred), store-management experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets including store cash.
• Supervise, train and develop store associates; ensure a safe, respectful environment.
