Job summary

MFA Petroleum Company is seeking Break Time Assistant Manager to help run a busy convenience store. You will lead a team, coach associates, and assist in daily store operations, including banking, inventory, and food service programs.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with strong customer service, ability to manage shifts in the manager's absence, and a willingness to perform math, handle cash, and ensure food safety and compliance across all duties.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Availability to work and/or support all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance with access to bank transport.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to supervise and lead a team.
• Ability to perform math to make change and complete shift reports.
• Pre-employment background check and drug test; legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and encourage the team to do the same; greet customers and support peak hours.
• Assist in day-to-day store operations including daily reporting, banking, inventory, bookkeeping, fuel management, and food programs.
• Execute merchandising activities, pricing, promotions, and stock management; ensure cleanliness and front facing shelves.
• Supervise shifts in the absence of the manager; participate in training and policy adherence.
• Maintain timely and professional communication with customers, vendors, employees, and management.
• Understand store finances and help control expenses; participate in audits and loss control tasks.
• Support recruiting, training, and development of a positive team culture and compliance with regulations.
• Operate point of sale systems and complete shift reports; handle cash and inventory tasks.
