Job summary

Dollar General in Colorado seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support a customer-first store environment and lead a team under the Store Manager. You will assist with supervision, merchandising, and deposits to maximize profitability and protect assets.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, staff scheduling, training, inventory management, planogram execution, and cash handling. A high school diploma and retail supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner to itemize the customer’s purchase.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, providing training, safety meetings, and ensuring policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise: receiving, stocking, restocking, and building displays; maintain planograms.
• Assist with inventory accuracy, damages, markdowns, and paperwork; support cash control procedures and deposits.
• Assist in managing store in the Store Manager’s absence.
