Job summary

Family Dollar in Raton, NM is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, assist customers, and develop the team. You will participate in opening and closing procedures, help with merchandising, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Support merchandising and maintain seasonal store areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives, maintain records, and assist with payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates under the Store Manager.
