Job summary

BFS Foods in Georgia is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee store operations with the General Manager, driving program execution, product implementation and efficiency in inventory, food service, ordering and rotation. The role emphasizes sanitation, preparation schedules and adherence to company standards.

The position requires leadership, staff training, scheduling, cost control, and readiness to serve as Senior Management in the GM's absence, while ensuring exceptional customer service

Qualifications

• Be able to lead by example and coach staff to meet company standards.
• Strong customer service focus with ability to resolve issues quickly.
• Experience in scheduling and labor optimization.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation best practices.
• Ability to train and develop store personnel.
• Proficient in receiving, rotation and inventory control processes.
• Effective communicator with team members and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide top quality, fast and friendly service to customers.
• Co-manage store operations with the General Manager and ensure program execution.
• Recruit, train and evaluate employees; uphold sanitation and safety procedures.
• Develop schedules to maximize labor efficiency and meet store needs.
• Oversee ordering, receiving, build-to levels and inventory control.
• Maintain merchandising, signage and promotional awareness.
• Monitor sanitation, waste, cost controls and cash handling procedures.
• Prepare invoices and bank deposits; support accounting duties as needed.
