Job summary

ALDI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Waycross, GA to support the direct leader in supervising daily store activities and driving performance. You’ll manage schedules, develop operational action plans, and identify training opportunities to grow the team.

The role requires strong customer service, team leadership, and adherence to policies, with responsibilities ranging from inventory and cash control to staff interviewing and store maintenance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to their direct reports to ensure mutual understanding and desired results.
• Identify training and development opportunities for direct reports to improve performance.
• Model company values to foster teamwork among employees.
• Monitor the competitive environment and advise adjustments to maintain our position.
• Provide product feedback and recommendations on items to carry or discontinue.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel.
• Communicate weekly information, milestones, and concerns.
• Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control policies.
• Resolve customer concerns in the leader’s absence.
• Identify and rectify hazards and maintain equipment.
• Maintain store cleanliness and signage.
• Assist with stock levels through ordering and merchandising.
• Ensure product quality and accurate signage.
• Help achieve payroll and loss budgets and train new employees.
• Supervise day-to-day operations and escalate issues when needed.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks with high customer service standards.
• Comply with company policies and protect confidential information.
• Other duties as assigned.
