Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC) is seeking a Store Operations Leader to oversee all store areas and support the Store Director in delivering a convenient, friendly, and clean shopping experience.

You will lead Service Specialists, mentor teammates, and train staff while focusing on inventory, pricing, safety, and customer service. This role requires solid retail knowledge, the ability to multi-task, and a commitment to safety and community values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 18 years of age; 21+ to drive per policy.
• Two+ years related experience or equivalent education.
• TABC/LACT/AATC certification required.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Fuel Operator C training required.
• Manager Food Safety certification required.
• Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) certification required.
• HIPAA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, train and develop partners; plan, assign and direct work.
• Review historical data to predict future sales from ads and promotions.
• Manage inventory to ensure satisfactory in-stock levels and review profit/loss, sales and labor data.
• Open/close store following established procedures.
• Inspect product for quality control and food safety; adhere to labeling requirements.
• Prepare and balance store deposits; balance tills and follow tender policies.
• Notify Store Director of process improvement opportunities.
• Ensure accurate pricing via communications with operations support and scanners.
• Maintain a clean, safe and sanitary store environment.
• Greet customers, answer questions and assist with product locations.
