Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to recruit, train, and evaluate staff.
• Knowledge of safety, loss prevention, and labor laws.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations and counsel or terminate as needed.
• Set pay rate recommendations and advancement.
• Communicate expectations and coordinate meetings to promote safety and policies.
• Open/close the store daily.
• Analyze operating statements for sales, profitability, and shrink.
• Manage stock: ordering, inventory, BSR and cycle counts.
• Stock merchandise efficiently and use fixtures with correct pricing.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and cash controls.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe store environment.
• Ensure equipment and adherence to SOPs and policies.
• Complete paperwork and deadlines.
