Job summary

FiveStar Food Mart in Paducah, KY is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the General Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including customer service, merchandising, and food service.

You will train staff, ensure inventory levels, manage displays and signage, and help control labor and safety guidelines. The role also covers P&L awareness and covering the GM when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of retail management experience and/or equivalent education.
• Valid driver’s license; must be at least 18.
• Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
• Team player, customer focused, honest, hardworking, and excellent attendance.
• Basic Computer Skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist General Manager in managing store operations and ensuring policies are followed.
• Train store team and assist in communicating policies.
• Ensure inventory levels, displays, pricing and signage are maintained; address out-of-stocks.
• Oversee food operation quality and appearance of food service areas.
• Assist in labor budget adherence and timely accounting/paperwork.
• Cover store operations in the General Manager’s absence.
