Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, and procedures.
• Perform basic math and percentages for planning and reporting.
• Handle cash procedures with accountability and deposits.
• Use IBM cash registers to generate reports.
• Know inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Communicate effectively, both spoken and written.
• Interpersonal skills for team leadership and training.
• Recruit, interview, hire and counsel staff following policy.
• Understand cash, safety controls and store security procedures.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain staff; ensure proper staffing.
• Train employees, conduct evaluations, and counsel or terminate when needed.
• Recommend pay rate and career advancement opportunities.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; run meetings.
• Open and close the store reliably each day.
• Open at least twice and close at least twice weekly.
• Review sales, costs and inventory trends; manage shrink and errors.
• Order to meet stock targets; oversee BSR and cycle counts weekly.
• Stock, stage and store merchandise per company processes.
• Ensure merchandise presentation, pricing and signage are correct.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and secure cash handling.
• Provide strong customer service leadership and a safe environment.
• Keep store clean, organized and equipped for tasks; follow SOPs.
