Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store manager to oversee all store operations in a fast-paced environment. You will recruit, train, and evaluate staff; manage scheduling, customer service, and merchandising standards to maximize sales and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of retail management experience, with a focus on cash handling, loss prevention, and team leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Proven ability to lead staff, manage schedules and deliver customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations and counsel staff as needed.
• Make recommendations on pay rates and advancement.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; conduct team meetings.
• Open and close the store reliably and maintain daily operations.
• Ensure inventory control, ordering, stock replenishment and merchandising standards.
