Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will support day-to-day activities and ensure a welcoming, efficient store environment.

Responsibilities include merchandise movement, opening/closing, processing directives, safeguarding assets, supervising associates, and maintaining clean, organized spaces while delivering strong customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise, maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, records, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
