Job summary

ALDI INC. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Florida to help supervise day-to-day store activities, drive performance, manage schedules, and develop operational action plans while identifying training opportunities to grow the team.

The role is full-time (approximately 38 hours/week) with starting wages at $26.00 per hour and a wage increase to $27.00 per hour in year 2. Candidates should have at least 3 years in retail and strong leadership and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment or equivalent
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Meets state/local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages

Responsibilities

• Assists with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
• Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations
• Identifies training and development opportunities for direct reports
• Monitors competitive environment and informs leadership of adjustments
• Participates in interviewing store personnel
• Maintains store payroll and loss budget, inventory counts, and training of new employees
• Supervises day-to-day operations and ensures high level of customer service
