Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking an Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to support the General Manager in daily store operations while adhering to company policies and procedures. The role emphasizes guest service, promotional participation, and operational excellence in a Fortune 500 environment.

The ASM will supervise and train hourly staff, manage cash and inventory, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards across the store, including coordinating gasoline deliveries and ensuring security.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends or holidays.
• 1-2 years supervisory experience.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Ability to communicate, count, read, and write accurately.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Ability to work in intermittent temperatures.
• Lift up to 25 lbs during a shift.
• Access to all areas of the store including selling floor, stock, and register.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Vocational or Technical Education High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit by deadline.
• Supervise, develop, train and discipline non-exempt employees.
• Monitor shift cash handling and inventory; assist in shortages/overages investigations.
• Maintain business records and cashier accountability sheets.
• Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and other admin duties per cash policies.
• Manage cash deposits and change orders.
• Maintain Grand Opening Ready Standards and store image.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure store is secure and safe; report issues to management.
• Coordinate gasoline deliveries and ensure adequate levels.
• Engage in all company promotional initiatives.
• Promote a high level of guest service.
• Perform duties per company policies and handbook.
