Job summary

Five Below is looking for a Store Manager on Duty/Lead to ensure a WOW customer experience at the front lines. You will supervise store associates, train new staff, and oversee receiving, stocking, and merchandising to keep the sales floor fresh and inviting.

In this hourly role, you will manage opening and closing duties, handle cash and alarms, and partner with the leadership team to boost sales while controlling expenses. A high school diploma is required with college experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required; college experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to multi-task.
• Ability to remain composed under pressure and think creatively.

Responsibilities

• Wowers customers through personal interaction and efficient checkout experience.
• Oversees daily store activities and ensures staff perform duties with strong customer service.
• Assists receiving, unpacking and stocking to keep floor ready for customers.
• Acts as Manager on Duty when needed, handling store operations, staff, and urgent issues.
• Manages opening/closing procedures including cash, alarms, and security.
• Supports onboarding and training of associates on policies and product knowledge.
• Drives sales and controls costs by optimizing merchandising and staff performance.
• Collaborates with store leadership on merchandising and store recovery.
• Performs general store maintenance and safety tasks.
