Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily functions, support customers, organize merchandise, and help supervise and train associates while maintaining a welcoming, safe environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and prior store leadership experience; strong communication and organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking/standing.
• Strong communication, organizational, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain related records and communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and storefront fixtures for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety guidelines; supervise/train store associates.
