Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of New Jersey LLC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and ensure clean, safe store conditions.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to lead a team, and a commitment to excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. This is a full-time position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as part of daily duties.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team-oriented environment with a focus on accuracy and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Support merchandise organization from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Execute opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain store records (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Maintain attractive, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect assets and follow safety policies; supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and presentable environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
