Job summary

Family Dollar in Sturgis, Michigan is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily operations, assist customers, and develop the store team through hands-on coaching and positive leadership.

You will supervise opening and closing procedures, organize merchandise, monitor inventory, handle payroll and scheduling basics, protect assets, and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming shopping environment for guests and associates.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong customer service and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store operations and functions.
• Support Store Manager in training and supervising associates.
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-stocked store and stockroom.
• Process payroll, scheduling, and cash receipts when needed.
• Protect store assets and adherence to company policies.
