Job summary

Dollar Tree in Belleville, NJ is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities and help lead a motivated team to meet goals.

You will maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom, assist in scheduling and loss prevention, and ensure friendly, professional interactions with customers and associates. Part-time opportunity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Retail store management experience preferred in grocery or drug store environments.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Support the Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment and professional interactions with customers and staff.
