Job summary

Dollar Tree in Plainfield, NJ is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day functions, open and close procedures, and help supervise and train store associates to deliver friendly, efficient service.

Responsibilities include organizing merchandise from delivery to sales floor, maintaining a neat, safe store environment, and upholding company policies while providing leadership in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-stocked store environment.
