Job summary

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving in a fast-paced retail environment; you will supervise associates, assist with scheduling, and help maintain store standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to read and explain directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, records, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized.
• Protect and secure all assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe environment with customers and staff.
• Keep bathrooms and floors clean; ensure areas are neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
