Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our Clarkston, MI location to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, organize merchandise, and support the Store Manager in supervising associates.

The role requires strong communication and teamwork, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a commitment to safety and excellent service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and required for the role.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Team-oriented, high-energy environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
