Job summary

The Cavender’s brand in Houma, LA is seeking a Key Carrier to help lead daily store operations and uphold our customer service standards. You will perform cashier and sales associate duties, coach team members, and drive sales while ensuring the store stays clean, organized, and compliant with company policies.

As Manager on Duty when assigned, you’ll open/close the store, address customer concerns, mentor associates, and contribute to loss prevention efforts.

Qualifications

• Ability to read English and understand basic instructions.
• Ability to interpret documents and apply abstract principles to complex tasks.
• Ability to manage store shifts effectively and stay alert during work hours.

Responsibilities

• Support Cavender’s culture and drive our Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Be able to perform the tasks of a Cashier and Sales Associate.
• Maintain active role in personal selling, meeting or exceeding sales per hour goals.
• Act as Manager on Duty as assigned.
• Assist in the day-to-day management of the retail store and supervision of associates to deliver best of the WEST customer service and drive sales.
• Open and close store as directed.
• Address customer complaints.
• Handle returns and exchanges.
• Address associate assignments and concerns.
• Assist in increasing sales, maintaining profit structure, and reducing controllable expenses using key metrics.
• Assist in training store associates.
• Help keep the store looking clean and well-presented inside and outside.
• Contribute to a safe and secure store environment and report incidents.
• Understand and execute all company policies and procedures.
• Actively participate in Loss Prevention measures.
• Any other duties as assigned.
