Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to maintain a clean, well-organized store focused on customer service. You will assist with supervision, merchandising, paperwork, and deposits, while performing stocking and cashier duties to maximize profitability and reduce losses.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register.
• Open and close store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, displays, and planograms.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and control damages and markdowns.
• Assist with cash handling, refunds, and deposits; cash control procedures.
• Assist in store management in the Store Manager's absence.
