Job summary

Family Dollar in McGregor, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help organize merchandise flow, supervise associates, and ensure store safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and bending.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to floor.
• Open and close the store as needed.
• Support payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits and receipts.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
