Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Independence, Missouri. You will assist with day-to-day functions, help customers, and ensure proper merchandise movement from delivery to floor while maintaining seasonal areas.

This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to lead a team, and adherence to safety and policy guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and required to read and explain directives.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, organized store and stockroom per company standards.
• Protect store assets, including cash.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates under Store Manager guidance.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
