Job summary

Family Dollar in Winchester, KY is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, manage merchandise flow from delivery to floor, and help ensure shelves remain stocked and displays are attractive.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, kneeling, etc.).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills essential.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and handling payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain neat, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom and protect store assets.
