Family Dollar in Lexington is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help manage daily store operations, support customer service, and develop the store team.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, retail or grocery experience, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. This part-time role may involve lifting up to 55 lbs and assisting in opening and closing procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and meet physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for optimal impact.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and keeping records (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Maintain a well-stocked, clean sales floor and organized stockroom.
