Job summary

ALDI Westerly, RI is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Store Manager to support store operations and leadership. You will help supervise day-to-day activities, manage schedules, and develop action plans to improve store performance.

You will identify training opportunities, ensure inventory and cash controls, and maintain high standards of customer service and store presentation. Prior retail/management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
• Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to their direct reports
• Identifies training and development opportunities for direct reports
• Monitors the competitive environment and informs adjustments to maintain competitive position
• Provides product feedback including recommendations on items to carry or discontinue
• Participates in interviewing store personnel
• Communicates weekly information and major milestones
• Ensures adherence to inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control policies
• Resolves operational customer concerns in the absence of the direct leader
• Identifies hazards and maintains store equipment in proper working order
• Maintains store cleanliness and proper signage
• Maintains stock levels and merchandising to maximize sales
• Ensures product quality and signage accuracy
• Assists with payroll, loss budget, and training of new employees
• Supervises day-to-day team operations and escalates issues as needed
• Ensures reports are completed timely and maintains customer service standards
• Complies with company policies and ensures data security
