Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Wisconsin to support store operations and customer service while developing the team.

You will assist with day-to-day activities, merchandise transfers from delivery trucks, and maintaining clean, well-stocked sales floors. The role requires strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with responsibilities including payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked store with organized stockroom and secure assets.
• Adhere to policies and ensure safety guidelines are followed by associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restocking bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, and trash disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
