Job summary

Ashley Stewart, Inc. is seeking a PT Assistant Manager to oversee store operations, merchandising and team leadership during the assigned shift. In the store's busiest hours you will support the Store Manager and supervise Sales Associates to ensure excellent customer experiences.

You will drive sales, assist in achieving financial goals, manage scheduling and events, and ensure proper loss prevention and inventory control while maintaining brand standards and store presentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years retail experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to apply retail math principles.
• Excellent computer skills and ability to use a POS system.
• High level of initiative and accountability.
• Proven ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.
• Detail oriented; consistently meets deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Execute operational, merchandising and managerial duties during assigned shift.
• In the absence of the Store Manager, act as manager-on-duty with daily responsibilities and supervision of Sales Associates.
• Drive sales to achieve and exceed financial plan and assist in evaluating the business.
• Assist in setting and monitoring store goals and managing store expenses.
• Ensure funds and merchandise handling per company policy and maintain final report accountability.
• Assist with scheduling grass-root events and marketing initiatives to drive traffic.
• Provide an exceptional customer service experience and maintain optimal store layout and visual standards.
• Assist in inventory management and ensure store operations align with Policy and Procedures.
