Job summary

Family Dollar in Bremond, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will supervise Associates, assist with merchandising, payroll, scheduling, loss prevention, and ensure a clean, safe store environment while adhering to company policies.

The role is Part time with responsibilities across opening/closing, training, and high-quality customer interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical store duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling; support loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and company policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
