Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and staff development in Pasadena, Texas. The role involves supervising associates, maintaining displays, processing shipments, and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.

You will help implement corporate directives and training while delivering excellent service to customers. The position emphasizes teamwork, leadership, and reliability, with opportunities to grow within a busy retail

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail/grocery preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions or concerns in a positive manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Follow corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain shelf and stockroom organization per standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention tasks.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety across the store environment.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing staff.
