Job summary

Family Dollar in Amarillo, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily tasks, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure store standards.

The role involves opening/closing, following corporate directives, maintaining displays, loss prevention, and training Store Associates to create a positive, safe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed and maintain seasonal areas.
