Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in South Lyon, MI to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, merchandise organization, and ensuring clean, well-displayed areas.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork and exceptional customer service. A high school diploma is preferred and the position includes part-time hours with benefits as outlined in the store policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities and communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll and cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom according to company standards.
• Protect company assets, including store cash, and follow policies.
