Job summary

Dollar Tree in Newport, OR is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, manage merchandise flow from delivery to floor, and participate in opening and closing tasks.

You will help supervise and train store associates, ensure safety, maintain clean fixtures and stockrooms, and uphold company policies while delivering a positive shopping experience for guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping and loss prevention.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment and follow policies.
