Job summary

Dollar Tree in Bend, Oregon seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, merchandise flow from delivery to floor, and ensure promotions and safety standards are maintained.

Responsibilities include supervising associates, opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits) and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked, organized sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure associates follow policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean and presentable, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
