Job summary

Dollar Tree in Massillon, OH is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, supervise employees, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will assist with day-to-day functions, organize merchandise, and support the Store Manager in training and development of associates.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, retail or grocery management experience is preferred, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling and cash handling; assist loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom per company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Enforce policies and safety guidelines and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Assist Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and professional environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean including bathrooms, floors, trash and general presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
