Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Canton, OH to assist the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and handling merchandising and freight processing. You will support store operations, maintain standards, and ensure a safe, friendly shopping environment.

Ideal candidates have retail and management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. The role involves open/close procedures, asset protection, and maintaining high presentation

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Written communication skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process all directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and presentability, including bathrooms.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment with customers and staff.
• Assist Store Manager with freight flow and merchandising duties.
• Plan, merchandise, and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items.
