Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Ironton, OH is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily functions, organize merchandise, and help train Store Associates to maintain a high standard of customer care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized according to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team.
• Keep the store clean, restocked, and presentable; manage bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
