Job summary

Dollar Tree in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, support opening and closing procedures, and ensure the sales floor and stockroom are well organized.

This part-time role requires strong communication, reliability, and a customer-focused approach. A high school diploma is preferred, with prior store management experience in retail or grocery being a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store functions and activities.
• Support customer service and resolve questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process directives and maintain store communications.
• Maintain fixtures, displays, and loss prevention.
• Assist in ordering, damage handling, payroll/scheduling records.
• Maintain clean, stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets, including cash.
• Ensure policies and safety guidelines are followed.
• Help supervise and develop store associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe environment with staff and customers.
• Conduct cleaning and restocking; trash removal.
