Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is helpful.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas and secure assets including cash.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates under Store Manager guidance.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep bathrooms clean, floors swept and mopped, trash disposed, and areas neat and presentable.
