Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of West Virginia LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. The role involves assisting with daily store activities, merchandising, and helping the Store Manager train and supervise staff.

We value strong communication, reliability, and the ability to manage opening/closing procedures while maintaining a safe, friendly, and efficient environment for customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention tasks.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
