Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Dalton, GA. You will assist in organizing merchandise, handling daily tasks, and ensuring a clean, safe store environment for customers and staff.

The role emphasizes leadership support to the Store Manager, staff training, and maintaining strong earnings and inventory accuracy. This is a full-time, on-site position at a busy Family Dollar location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store-front fixtures.
